Connecting Aussies to High-Speed internet
To help power business productivity, nbn® co introduced the FTTP upgrade program—also known as Fibre Connect or Fast Fibre. This initiative replaces outdated copper wiring with advanced fibre optic cables, delivering faster speeds and improved connectivity for customers.
Eligible businesses with an nbn® Fibre to the Node (FTTN) (opens in new tab) or Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) (opens in new tab) connection will have the opportunity to upgrade to the superior nbn® Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) (opens in new tab) technology.

Everything you need to know about upgrading to fibre.
In this comprehensive ebook guide, learn everything you'll need to know about the installation process, benefits for your business, FAQs, and more!

What to expect during your installation
Lightning-speeds have arrived at your doorstep. Here's what to expect during your installation appointment.
Before they begin, our technician will need your signed consent for the nbn® installation. A standard install is usually completed within a day*, and you'll need to turn off your power for about 30–60 minutes.
Your technician will assess the best location to install the fibre cables. These run from the street and may be placed underground, along an existing cable pathway, or overhead.
Once the cables are in place, they'll connect them to your nbn® utility box, which is installed outside at the front of your business.
Next, the technician will install your nbn® connection box inside your business and link it to the external utility box.
Finally, they'll set up your Wi-Fi router and complete the installation.
Your service will then be activated, and our business team will notify you once it's up and running—usually within a few business days.
Most fibre installations are completed within a day, but in some cases, it may take longer. If that happens, our onsite technician will keep you informed and work to complete your installation as quickly as possible.
