Setting up voicemail for your VoIP home phone

Voicemail is offered at no additional cost – here’s some helpful tips to get set up.

If voicemail isn’t already activated for your service, you will need to call Customer Service to enable it.

Dial 101 to access your voicemail system.

Set your greeting

If this is the first time you have accessed your voicemail system, you will be prompted to record your name and a personal greeting. Follow the prompts of the assistant and press hash (#) to move on to the main menu.

Main menu

If you have previously accessed your voicemail and setup your greeting, you can then access your main menu.

The main menu will give you the following options for your voicemail settings:

1 – New messages

2 – Old messages

4 – Set call forwarding (and turn ‘Do Not Disturb’ on/off)

5 – Set current options (change password or record name)

6 – Greetings menu (record/review/select greeting to use)

7 – Recover deleted messages

Call forwarding menu

Within the set call forwarding menu (option 4), there are numerous actions that can be taken:

1 – Turn ‘Do Not Disturb’ on or off

2 – Set the number you want to forward calls toward

3 – Turn on/off call forwarding

4 – Forward calls to the number you are calling from (used when you access your home voicemail from another phone, like your mobile)

Follow the prompts given by the voicemail attendant to set up your call forward changes.

Current options menu

With the option menu (option 5) there are 2 options:

1 – Change your voicemail password (used to access your voicemail from another phone)

2 – Change your recorded name

Greeting menu

With the greetings menu (option 6) there are 3 options:

1 – Record a greeting

2 – Review recorded greetings (play back by selecting 1, 2, 3 etc)

3 – Select the greeting you wish to use (1, 2, 3 etc)

Remote voicemail access

To remotely reach your voicemails on VoIP, dial star (*) while calling your number when it reaches your voicemail greeting.

Note: You will need to get your voicemail pin from Customer Service to access your voicemail remotely.
